Cork Public Museum

In the center of Fitzgerald Park, a very interesting history museum of the city installed in the former home of the Beamish brewer.

The different sections cover all periods, from prehistory to the present day, with a particular interest in the Middle Ages and the nineteenth century.

Beautiful arts objects, silverware, historical souvenirs as union banners, original posters of the Land War, prints and paintings. As well at the first floor you can admire photos on the War of Independence. It’s also a good to have a walk in the beautiful park around the museum.
